Do Inversion Tables Work For Back Pain
Do inversion tables work for back pain or is it a complete waste of time? Okay listen, before talk about what is inversion table used for or what inversion table to buy; we should first focus on inversion therapy and whether it is an effective means for combating back pain.
Here’s the deal…Various studies have indicated that inversion therapy is very helpful for reducing back pain. In fact, using this form of therapy in a consistent manner may even completely eliminate one’s back pain.
For relieving pain in the lower back, a thorough study was made and concluded with the fact that inversion therapy is a decent form of treatment as it helps the lumbar spine achieve a rather substantial intravertrebral separation. Result from the study indicated that traction triggered by gravity may be a very potent method for getting rid of pain in the lower back.
Kane, M, et al: Effects of Gravity-facilitated Traction on Intravertebral Dimensions of the Lumbar Spine. Jour of Orthopedic and Sports Phys Ther. 281-288, Mar 85.
Another study you may want to refer to is Sheffield, Frederick J. Lt. Col., MC. Adaptation of Tilt Table for Lumbar Traction. Now, if you ask me do inversion tables work for back pain? I would have to say yes. I’ve been using inversion tables for quite some time and I can definitely attest its effectiveness. I used to suffer recurring bouts of back pain and I was contemplating on undergoing surgery hoping it would remedy the problem once and for all.
I opted to use an inversion therapy table because this form of treatment came highly recommended by a colleague in my graphic design firm. The price of this table is very appealing. You know what; some inversion tables out there have price tags that will give many people nightmares! You could opt for the cheaper models (less than $100), however the overall quality of inversion tables in that price range are generally questionable.
The EP-560 has the right balance. I mean the price tag is reasonable enough and the quality is splendid. You can easily fold it, the frame is durable, and the bed is unbelievably comfortable. Head over to the link below if you need more info on it.
